The Professionals at J Douglas Homes

Joe Nottoli, President

Joe Nottoli, PresidentJoe has over fifteen years' experience in new home construction, working for large regional and national builders before founding J Douglas Homes. He earned a B.S. in Construction Management, with a minor in Business, from the University of Florida in 1994. After graduating, he went to work for a regional builder in South Florida and gained experience in a variety of positions in both the construction and sales arenas.

Following a dream he and his wife had to relocate to the Carolinas, Joe accepted a position with a large, national builder in Charlotte in 1999. He quickly worked his way up to a management position, and in 2001, he relocated to the Triad to open and manage a new division for the company, servicing Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point. For the next six years, Joe oversaw all aspects of the company including land acquisition and development, construction, design center, and sales and marketing. During his tenure as division manager, he was intimately involved in the set-up of 10 neighborhoods from land development through model park grand openings.

In 2007, Joe decided it was time to take all the knowledge and experience he has gained and put it to work for his own company, allowing him to offer buyers more competitive pricing while bringing the same level of quality and professionalism to each home he builds. Joe has a keen awareness of what homebuyers are looking for in a new home: floor plan, location, and value. He also recognizes the importance buyers place on a positive homebuilding experience, and is committed to delivering all of these to his buyers.

Joe and Donna NottoliAt J Douglas Homes Joe is assisted by his wife, Donna, who handles the marketing and administrative duties of the business. They live in High Point with their two children, Nicholas and Emma, and their Golden Retriever Lilly. In his spare time, Joe enjoys watching football, coaching his son’s flag football team, and working on home improvement projects.

Joe has been a member of the High Point Builders Association for six years, and is currently serving on the 2008 Executive Board.

Randy Hopkins, Vice President of Operations

Randy Hopkins, Vice PresidentAs Vice President of Operations, Randy manages the day to day supervision of purchasing, production, and customer service. He has worked in construction for more than fourteen years in a number of capacities including Operations Manager, Purchasing Manager, Estimator, and Superintendent, mostly for large, national builders. The valuable experience he gained working in these positions enables him to skillfully manage high-volume residential construction projects as well as more individual, custom projects.

Randy and his wife, Susan moved to Oak Ridge four years ago and quickly fell in love with the area. He has enjoyed making the move from a national builder to a local builder, where he can offer customers a more personal homebuilding experience with the same high level of quality and professionalism he has always maintained in his former positions.

Randy and Susan have two children - a daughter, Samantha, and a son, Ryan. When he is not at work, Randy enjoys family time, outdoor activities, and playing sports.
