About the Builder

J Douglas Homes was founded by Joe Nottoli in 2007. Prior to founding his company, Joe worked for regional and national homebuilding companies for 15 years, and opened the Greensboro division of Ryland Homes in 2000, douglas250x218aserving as division manager.

With careful strategic planning and the support of a private investor, Joe grew J Douglas Homes, and within a few years, the company went from being a small, residential builder to a significant player in the Triad, NC market, with more than 25 closings in a year and a strong presence in four neighborhoods throughout Forsyth, Davidson, Guilford, and Alamance counties. Joe was also a 2-time president of the High Point Area Home Builders Association and volunteered in several capacities with the HPABA.

On July 23, 2015, Joe, who had just turned 44, tragically passed away of a sudden heart attack while on vacation with his family. His wife, Donna, immediately took over as CEO to ensure that the company that Joe worked so hard to build would continue to remain an esteemed home building company in the Triad.  Donna had already been a part of J Douglas Homes as Director of Marketing.

Billy Crawford, who began interning under Joe the summer of his Junior year at East Carolina University, currently runs the day to day operations of J Douglas Homes. Joe was grooming Billy to run his company one day, and much of what Billy knows, he learned from Joe. Billy considers it an honor to be running the company that his close friend and mentor founded.

IMG_5579Billy has a BS in Construction Management from ECU, and is a licensed General Contractor. He is also a member of the Army National Guard, and served our country on a tour of duty in Afghanistan.

J Douglas Homes currently builds single family homes in Kernersville, High Point, and on individual lots throughout the Triad Area. Please visit our website, www.JDouglasHomes.com for more information.

Donna Nottoli recently performed a special dance with the High Point Stars to honor Joe’s life and the life they had together.
